Music weekly podcast: Walls and the wonders of the Radiophonic Workshop

A preview of a day celebrating the BBC Radiophonic Workshop, plus memories of Frankie Knuckles, and singles from Rita Ora, SZA and Chance the Rapper, and Joyce Muniz

Ben Beaumont-Thomas joins the pod this week, and most prominently in the news is the death of Frankie Knuckles.

In Singles Club we have tracks from Rita Ora, SZA and Chance the Rapper and Joyce Muniz.

Ben has also been speaking to journalist Thomas Green, who has co-curated a day in celebration of the mystical and wonderful work of the BBC Radiophonic Workshop. Taking part in the day will be techno duo Walls, who have recently collaborated with the private sound archive of pioneering composer Daphne Oram to create their new album, Sound Houses.

Plus, an apology: Sam Willis, advertised in the podcast as coming in to speak about Walls and the Radiophonic Workshop event, was at the last minute unable to attend.

Thanks for listening.
