Scissor Sisters’ Jake Shears claims he has recorded enough songs with Kylie Minogue to release an entire “Scissors-Kylie” collaboration LP. Although there’s no sign that the material will ever be officially released, “someday I’m going to be shifty,” he said, “and leak it”.

“There’s a whole album’s worth of music,” Shears explained to Attitude magazine “It’s from over the years. There’s some really cool stuff that no one has heard.”

A couple of Shears’ team-ups with Minogue have already been released: he co-wrote and co-produced her 2004 hit I Believe In You, and also co-wrote one song for her 2010 LP, Aphrodite. But the two friends didn’t collaborate at all on Minogue’s latest album, Kiss Me Once, which is due on 14 March. Still, the Scissor Sisters frontman will be at Minogue’s side on Saturday, as an advisor on the reality show The Voice.

“I love writing with [Kylie] and always have,” Shears said. “It’s just like playtime, you know. It feels like play, not work. It’s just a nice time for us to hang out and be creative with each other.”

Scissor Sisters’ last album was 2012’s Magic Hour, which peaked at No4. They have since announced an indefinite hiatus.
