The BBC's Delivering Quality First may be looking to trim budgets across the board, but one area that may need a little extra investment is, er, carpet. At least according to the famously demanding rapper Kanye West. Ahead of an appearance on BBC's Later... with Jools Holland the US star took over half of the 15 dressing rooms in the studios in Maidstone – and then asked for the floor of his room to be ironed, according to the Times. A source said that West found the carpet "too lumpy". It is not known if he prefers a dry iron experience, or if BBC staff were asked to switch on the steam.
