Former Soft Cell singer Marc Almond has told of the accident which nearly killed him a month ago.
He wrote on his website: "Finally it seems many of the darker days of the ordeal are hopefully behind me. This is the first time that I have been able to leave any kind of personal message. Without going into the gorier aspects of the accident, I have pieced it together, though much of it remains a blank for me."
The 48-year-old, best known for Soft Cell's classic cover of Tainted Love, was riding pillion when the bike collided with a car in central London. The bike driver was also seriously injured.
Almond said that messages of support "lifted my spirits, which at times have been very low." He has been transferred from the NHS to a private hospital to continue his recovery.
