Tell us: what music acts from your hometown have been unfairly overlooked?

Following a great response to our recent feature on the topic, we want to hear more of your tips for bands, solo artists, DJs and more who never quite made it

Earlier this week, the Guardian’s Michael Hann asked a range of musicians a little-asked question: who are the acts from your hometown that never quite made it? He got responses from the likes of Cornershop, Mogwai, Nabihah Iqbal and the Vaccines, about groups from Southampton to Gqeberha, South Africa – and readers chipped in with dozens of suggestions in the comments.

Now, we want to hear more of your picks. Who are the acts – be they bands, solo artists, DJs or any other musical artist – who never made it beyond cult local fandom, have been unfairly forgotten, or were never noticed in the first place? We’d love to hear passionate cases for brilliant artists, and vivid stories of you experiencing their music.
